The location of the hotel is just outside the center of Davos, very quiet and peaceful. It overlooks the cross country (langlauf) centre, but has a free shuttle to the main ski lifts. The hotel has about 90 rooms but feels like a small hotel. Staff is extremely friendly and know their guests, especially if you take the evening meal deal which is recommended. Excellent food for a decent price. Breakfast is the best, with an "omelet chef" all sorts of bread, cheese and yogurts. Luxury! The rooms are large and comfortable. All in all one of the better places to stay in Davos

Great Hotel, well priced and good value for money. The staff were helpful, professional and relaxed. If we did cross-country skiing this would be certainly one of the best choices to stay. Also,we would consider staying here in summer for a walking holiday. We very much appreciated the spa facilities.

Very good services, friendly staff. Good location near ski areas and free ski-bus to pistes was a big plus. Breakfast was also very good with lots of choices including a very good coffee. And teenagers loved free Wifi a lot.

Nice Spa area for relaxing after a day on the pistes.

We spent a fantastic week in Davos with the Waldhuus team. Davos was new to us ... and we are glad to go discover it cause it offered a perfect ski area (long slopes; good equipment (most lifts are pretty new) and highly snow secure because of the height, and the enormous snow making equipment. Waldhuus was the perfect choice of location: super friendly staff (from the first email contact when considering the location; until the check out); excellent rooms (we took connecting room with the 3 kids - a perfect set up!); delicious food (breakfast and dinner); and a good spa area. While the hotel is not on the slopes itselves, it is conveniently located near the city centre (walking distance from e.g. ice skating area) and the hotel shuttle to get you to the slopes is super efficient. Net ... we will be back!!!

Purchased the top priced exec room, and given a room literally under the snow. We were able to see, ehm, 2 meters only from the windows. I could do much better with a tiny room on any of the other 4 floors. Asked for a change but the only option given was looking right into the city. That was a no-go either.

Some of the staff are exceptional btw. These selected ones are nice and kind and helpful. Like the one who served us for the first 3 dinners. Unfortunately, they replaced him for the last night. What a discomfort...

Shuttle to the pistes was good. If you catch them of course. Both of the drivers were always kind and helpful, too.

They use industrial egg, therefore do not order any omelettes for the breakfast...

After all, we asked for 1 hour late check-out. ahahaha, they asked for an additional 20 CHF. It was really, seriously funny. After that bill? Can't be serious...

Room tip: go for the higher levels at the mountain side
