“Just what we needed.”
Reviewed 6 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

After a relaxing drive from Caen through the French country side we arrived at this idyllic farm house. Our Son and his wife had arranged our stay so we didn't know what to expect. We were met by Donna who is the owner and shown inside. On opening the rustic door we found the perfect place to relax. The room was really inviting and the bedroom the same. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a huge bath so a lovely soak in it is recommended. There was a well equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge etc.
Not only was Donna a very welcoming host she had put milk in the fridge, fresh eggs, patisseries, real butter, a stick of bread and a bottle of bubbly chilling on the table with 2 glasses to get us started. Perfect.
The heating is by radiators which more then ample but if needed there is a wood burner with a basket of wood to start you off and more wood at a small fee if needed.
At night there is no noise and no ambient street lights so a complete restful sleep is brilliant. When you wake in the morning and open the curtains and look over the fields at the sun rising you realise just what a perfect place this is.
It is pretty well centrally placed for getting out and about with the motorway about a 10 minutes drive away so getting to places is very easy but knowing that your coming back here is even better. If you like to walk there is the beautiful countryside to explore and everywhere there is quietness with just the birds signing.
We would just like to say a big thank you to Donna for making us so welcome.

“Secluded, welcoming and a perfect place to relax”
Reviewed 15 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

This is a fab gite, hidden away down a farm road amongst the hills of Normandy. On arrival Donna greeted us with a welcome smile and showed us round. We didn't need to rush out and shop as Donna had stocked up with milk, bread, butter, eggs (laid by her very own chickens) croissants, red wine, coffee, sugar, tea, jam, chutney and cheese. The gite is well furnished and offers a very spacious living area with everything you need including freeview and wireless that really works. The kitchen is well stocked with enough equipment to cook any meal. The bedroom is spacious with a fab en-suite kitted out with a roll-top bath and corner shower. Out side you have a private garden (a real sun trap) with table and chairs and BBQ. Its a great base with good walks and a great cycle route by the river from Pont-Farcy. Loads of local markets, bars and restaurants and all dog friendly. A truly great find and loved every day.
