We spent 2 nights at the Sangallo Palace Hotel (25th & 26th September) in a Double room. This Hotel is like a palace, the room was huge as was the bathroom with a spa bath and modern fittings. We had dinner at the Hotel on our first night and even though they had a large group and were very busy the staff and service was excellent. The Hotel itself is about a 15 minute walk to the main part of town, and during the walk you travel via escalators through an old Citadel which was amazing. It can be very windy at this time of the year.

Once again our stay at the Sangallo was amazing - in fact we booked for 11 nights (family of 4) but actually ended up spending 13 nights.

The hospitality is amazing and as usual we felt welcomed from the moment we set foot inside until we left. We always have high expectations from the hotels we stay in and the Sangallo hits 100% on all fronts. The hotel is very centrally located close to the escalators that lead to the centro storico, whilst the lower exit from the hotel leads you to the bus station. The coaches operate to other Umbrian and Tuscan locations and even to Rome for instance, making the hotel perfectly situated as a hub from central Italy. Nevertheless, the rooms are very quiet. The housekeeping ensure they are also spotless every day, with snow white linen and towels.

Breakfast is well balanced, and the freshly made cakes and pastries are a delight and something you seldom find in other hotels- so forget your diet when there! The catering staff are also fast and extremely efficient. The staff at the front desk are really helpful, especially when you need help about anything local. Perhaps being family-run adds to the local expertise and cordiality.

This was our 3rd visit and we look forward to our Umbrian trip No 4 - which again must be at the Sangallo, otherwise we would not travel to the area at all!

Room tip: Book directly with the hotel and ask for a view overlooking Piazza Partigiani

Professional staff, very clean, great location and fantastic view. Value for money is great and I would recommend it. Breakfast is rich and visitors should enjoy the proximity to the historic center of the city.

I have been here just for one night during EuroChocolate 2018.
Staff has been very helpful and nice since the beginning.
Parking is external (piazza Partigiani), but quite close to the hotel. Also close to the hotel are the bus terminal and the escalators to the historical center.
The room and the bathroom were very clean and tidy, even if walls and furniture got a few scratches and other signs that would recommend a rework on the entire premise.
However the service was very good and professional overall.
Breakfast with very high quality/price ratio. Also restaurant was nice (in quantity and quality), even if also here the dishes are a little bit vintage in the style.
I enjoyed the stay and i would come back.

We were happy about every aspect of this property - it is modern and very well kept. There is a walkway nearby with escalators that quickly and effortlessly link you to Perugia's main square for many shopping and food options. The hotel has a fine dining room for both breakfast and dinner. We would definitely return!
