Extremely hospitable and welcoming staff. They went out of their way to arrange breakfast for us ahead of their usual breakfast hours because we had an early morning bus to catch. Comfortable and cosy rooms and a convenient location

This review is written from the perspective of a white middle age American man with lots of travel experience.

Pros-
-Location is fantastic!
- Try to get room 52! Incredible view of the Duomo and west side of Siena.
- Quiet! No street noise.
- Room 50 has a decent view of the bell tower in the Piazza del Campo.
- Decent breakfast: 2 lunch meats, fruit, Croissants, 4 cereals, yogurt, bread, cheese, nice jelly assortment. Staff made a latte macchiato for me to take to the room for my girlfriend.
Service with a smile.
Breakfast time 730-10.
- Wifi is decent
- Only a minute 3 minute walk to Piazza del Campo.
- heater works
- decent size tv
- bathroom is decent with towel heater.
- free fruity candies at checkin desk

Cons-
- Waited 5 minutes before reception guy showed up. Actually had to walk downstairs to find a server to explain.
- Not handicap friendly. Lots of stairs.
- small elevator to only half way up (hey it's Europe!)
- walls are thin
- not every room has a great view
- Graveyard shift guy at reception doesn't seem to like his job
- breakfast could use more variety, and when they run out, they don't replace.
- beds are not very comfortable. A queen is 2 cots moved together.
- tv has ZERO english channels
- hot water goes cold every 20 seconds... I know, I counted.
- Wifi works but depends on the time and the night.

You could do a lot worse. I recommend this hotel!

Picture included is from room 52.

We arrived close to ten am and the attendants at the desk were most helpful. We were told the room was ready but a maintenance man was working in the bathroom. We were asked to come back at noon the room should be ready. They keep our luggage secure while we walked around. We did this and sure enough we were able to get into our room. It was a very nice and clean room. The next morning, we enjoyed a great breakfast there at the Hotel. The man at the front desk called a cab for us and we were on our way to next stop.

Room tip: Clean and quiet with a helpful staff

This is quite expensive for what you get , BUT one is right in the heart of the old city and I suppose you pay for that. The front desk is always open and always welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is average . Our room could have done with a double bed - it had three singles ! So not being used to a single it took a bit of getting used to.
We never managed to find the terrace , shown , but did not try too hard.

Overall , a good place to stay in Siena by virtue of being so central.
Car parking is a bit of a lottery but doable with a bit of patience and luck.

We loved this hotel. The room was basic but very clean and comfortable. Can't beat the price. We had an amazing view of the town and the top of the Duomo. They handled the parking for us and had the car back on time the next day. Breakfast was very good, there was plenty to choose from and all very good. We would stay here again.
