“Take me back!”
Reviewed 29 July 2014 for a stay in May 2014

This was a dream villa to spend a relaxing week during our honeymoon! The pictures show just how beautiful the view is and how nicely appointed the apartment is. It was a dream to have a home to settle in for our first week as a married couple! We were able to sleep in, soak up the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen, cook italian food, do our laundry, snuggle up and watch movies, and journey to nearby beautiful cities in the Tuscany region.

Mary Ann was the most accommodating host and from the beginning helped us with suggestions on places to visit, shop, and ways to relax. Her directions were spot on, including GPS coordinates to help you get straight to the villa.

We miss this dream vacation spot every day and will be hanging some of the gorgeous pictures we took from the panoramic garden in our home. I cannot recommend this place more and hope to return again soon with family and/or friends. You must go here!

“Fantastic Tuscan Views”
Reviewed 27 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We wanted to get out to the Tuscan country side - this was it, 2 weeks of relaxing with amazing views of the country side and especially sitting and watching the Tuscan sunsets from the outdoor settings.

The Villa is exceptionally well equiped and maintained and has everything you would need under the Tuscan sun. We did some home cooking as well as eating at the local resturants (all within 10-15 mins) and the resturants in San Gimignano.

We had our adult daughter and niece and her 2 yr old daughter stay will us, so this villa with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is ideal and also has an alfresco eating area, outdoor lounge and sunbeds and the pool got a good workout.

While this villa is in the country side, it is however an easy drive to San Gimignano and the other regional towns (Volterra, Poggibonsi, Certaldo and Chianti region) and to other attractions (Pisa, Luca, Siena, Florence and Cortona)

Mary Ann (the ower) was very helpful - we corresponded several times ahead of arrival and got a great set of directions on how to get there, where to shop, restaurants and instructions on the appliances and on other things in the Villa

We would recommend Villa Azzurra for that "get away to the Tuscan countryside" experience

“AMAZING!!! didn't want to leave!!!”
Reviewed 10 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

this was the most relaxing and beautiful week we had stayed anywhere, the views were stunning!!! the villa had everything we possibly could have wanted - we cooked for ourselves in the villa and sat outside enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine
while we were there there was working going on the driveway, which was needed as was a bit tough on our small fiat 500 with the potholes but all sorted by the time we left

can't fault any part of this experience , the instructions left by the owners were so handy and we never had any bother

a lovely touch was the amount and choice of english dvd's that we could enjoy

amazing would recommend this to anyone

“Relaxation, Fresh Air and Location, location, location!”
Reviewed 28 February 2014 for a stay in November 2013

I stayed at Azzura for one month, and I loved it! I was able to relax, work (I know that sounds contradictory, but I needed to write, and I was able to clear a serious writer's block), exercise, learn about historic villages, cook fantastic fresh food, eat at quaint restaurants, and meet lovely people.

Azzura is in the country, so do expect a few animals, which I enjoyed, from cows to phesants.

Weather is unpredictable, at least in the fall when I was there. It was a great reminder of that mother nature is large and in charge. It was fun to sit inside during a storm with candles or a fire lit, cooking mushroom risotto, while having a fantastic glass of local red wine.

A great day included, a morning walk or yoga (a swim would be great in warmer weather), a trip to San Gimignana or Volterra (both are under thirty minute drives) for lunch, tours and shopping. Pick up fresh veggies and local meats for a home cooked dinner.

Siena is so close, and a very easy drive. I took many day trips because I love the museums, concerts, theatre, clothe shopping and restaurants there. The drive is less than an hour.

Close the gate to the parking area, as is requested by the owner. The cows and deer are very inquisitive, and sometimes make it inside the property parameters even when the gate is closed.

Note that Wifi is available, but it is limited. It along with television access is at times unavailable.

“Our stay at Azzura was absolutely perfect!!”
Reviewed 28 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

My mother, aunt and I stayed there for 2 weeks in mid-September and couldn't have been happier with our experience! The house is just as it's pictured...cozy and serene, with an attention to every detail. Beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside all around! We loved everything about it...cooking in the Tuscan kitchen, coffee and breakfast on the outdoor patios, the pool, the cozy bedrooms. Many wonderful memories were made there!! A great place to be close to explore the surrounding area and easy access to the towns, but still have a quiet place to go home to at the end of the day! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!! We look forward to returning again! Ciao! Kathy, Sharon, and Karen
