Description: The restaurant Dulcisinfundo is in front of the most suggestive breathtaking view of San Gimignano. Thanks to the medieval milieu and two deep granaries in the old floor, here time seems to have stopped. We propose the typical Tuscan cuisine and the raw materials used in preparing our dishes are of the highest quality and only served in season. Our chefs prepare all our recommended dishes individually and carefully. From the “antipasti” right through to the desserts and ice creams, everything is prepared using only selected products. We are also farm managers and offer you our property’s products. to ensure freshness, authenticity and just- picked flavour. Vegetables, aromatic herbs, pure saffron of S.Gimignano and extra virgin olive oil come from our own farm “ Fortezza de' Cortesi” only 5 km far from the restaurant. Several wines are available and some of them are very prestigious, however it's our pleasure suggesting to our guests high quality level products. We are open from Easter up to first days of November and during the Christmas and end of the year period. The day off is on Wednesday.

What a pretty little restaurant. The pastas were excellent. I had the tortellini stuffed with vegetables from their garden in a saffron sauce. My companion had the baked gnocchi. We shared and enjoyed both. Be aware the pasta dishes are small and meant as a first course. Very good house wine. For a romantic dinner, book the table for two down some stairs. Service was friendly and food.

My third time here in four or so years and it has never disappointed. Our latest visit was for lunch. Great quality Tuscan meat platter to start: fennel and pepper salamis, prosciutto. Next we had the vegetarian lasagne and gnocchi. Both were beautifully cooked. Both vegetables and cheese were easily distinguished in the lasagne. The tomato-based sauce with the oven-baked gnocchi was great for me, a little too heavy on the garlic for my other half. The apple tart for dessert was to die for.
The view from the tables outside the restaurant is superb. It is a popular photo spot for tourists however, so we prefer to eat inside. Excellent photos of the restaurant’s jazz connections cover the walls, gentle jazz in the background caresses you through your meal. Being San Gimignano, the building is ancient and fantastic. Glass tiles in the floor give a view of the delights of the buildings previous life below. Romantics can ask for the hidden table for two.

It was a Sunday night, always a bit hit and miss, but from the jazz playing in the background, we felt at ease immediately, and the Waiter & Owner consolidated the feeling we’d made the right choice.

A simple menu, it delivered delicious flavours, mainly from the owners garden, it was fresh, authentic and good Tuscan fare.

A good balance between attentive and in your face, the Waiter was fab, very funny and passionate about the food on the menu. He advised, recommended and explained (in good English) what to expect.

We can’t fault the food, some of the best ravioli we’ve ever had (& we’ve had quite a bit!), the spinach and ricotta was melt in the mouth and the sauce was delicious. The beef rage was tender, the chicken succulent in the tomato and clove sauce. All finished with the homemade tiramisu and we were done, fabulous!

This has to be one of the best restaurants in San Gimignano. Set in great location overlooking the beautiful Tuscan landscape. You can eat outside or inside. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated. Roberto takes great pride in the food he serves. A lot of the produce is picked from his own garden, especially the saffron. The menu offers a nice selection of local cuisine. Everything is prepared fresh, both our starters and main courses were delicious
There is a great wine list to choose from as well, Roberto is an expert here and will help you select a wine to accompany your food. This is well worth a visit. You should book as it does get very busy.
