Lovely winebar serving small plate of aperitivo (appetizers) on the side. Owner is most helpful and friendly. Gives great advise on wines and let's you taste before serving. Great location too with a terrace on a marketsquare.
I would recommend this to friends!

I stumbled across this little place and so glad I did. It has a wide selection of excellent wine with experienced staff to make recommendations. Whilst waiting for my cheese platter I was given the most remarkable aperitivo 'snack' of bread with Anchovy, olive oil, grape, pine nuts and lightly fried onion... Delicious

The food scene, in my opinion, in Pisa is a bit dire. There are scores of tourist restaurants serving the same bland pasta and limp, cardboard pizza at totally inflated prices to the throngs of tourists desperate for a meal. The other places seem to be sandwich shops (or even kebab shops), which sound as lack-lustre as they are. La Dolce Vite totally saved us from this very average food scene.

The food is fresh, most of it organic and locally sourced - the goat ricotta and beef for the tartare (as well as the exquisite summer truffles) came from a local farm just outside of Pisa. The wines are wonderful. The list by the glass is not huge but it is excellent. I also had to say (sorry Grandma) the eggplant/aubergine alla parmigiana is the best I've ever had.

The staff is welcoming, the decor is charming and the food and wine are perfect. This absolutely made our trip to an otherwise bland and boring town.

We too were staying at Hotel Bologna just two doors down and happened on this beautiful corner shop, on our first night out. The owner, Andrea, was welcoming and treated us to the best selection of Pecorino we had for our entire trip (ask for the saffron infused honey).
With a such a superb selection of regional wines to choose from, we could have spent hours deciding, but Andrea's knowledge helped us to get just what we wanted. We also got what turned out to be excellent advice on some out-of-the-way things to see and do in the region.
Thank you for such a memorable welcome to Italy.

A very friendly and cosy place to stop by to get a nice glass of wine, or three, with some quality ham or fine cheese and similar finger-food. All the food and wine are selected on their bio-friendly production methods. It's conveniently placed in a calm walking street near the main shopping street, south of the river. It's very near two of the most popular places with high rank in Pisa, one being Hotel Bologna. That's how I discovered it. Best suited for smaller groups of people. If you like the wine, you can also get it to bring home. The host, Andrea, has great knowledge of wines and winemaking.
