Does the job - a less than 5 minute walk to the train station. 30-40 minute walk to the leaning tower. About 10 minutes from the main shopping street with supermarkets etc.

Only slight inconvenience is they only have one bathroom for each gender, each with a toilet and shower inside meaning you may wait a while for a free one if unlucky.

No mosquito net/air-con but fan is provided and it's a hostel so not complaining. I did get woken up around 3am by a neighbour playing loud music (?) which was rather annoying but not the fault of the hostel.

Receptionist very friendly and flexible with regard to storing luggage and waiting for me to arrive for check in.

Just steps from train station and bus station, walk to ped zone and even the tower. Everything you need right around you. It´s a clean, friendly place, with vending machines, small kitchen and common room. Dorms are very spacious. Helpful staff. There´s also a small market across for your daily needs.

I have been to a few hostels and was never sure what to expect. Pisa Train Station Hostel was 10 times better than I expected. The prices are great and the quality of the common areas, bathrooms and bedrooms are exceptional. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The service was awesome and the friendly staff speaks multiple languages and is very flexible to meet the needs of the guests. The hostel is new and well furnished, with Wifi, living room w/television & games, communal kitchen area, bathrooms/showers, and balconies. There is a dormitory for women only, which I found interesting because it was the first time I encountered that option. I felt safe both in and out of the hostel.

The interesting thing about this hostel is that you don't feel like you are "visiting" the city, but that you are "living" in the city. If you are traveling and are concerned with your budget, but don't want to trade it for quality, this is the place to go. If you need/want to do anything, you can take a quick walk to the supermarket, mini-markets, clothing stores, night life, etc., and access it (the main Piazza is a 4 minute walk away). If you feel like leaving the city and visit other locations, the train station is a 2 minute walk away and the bus station (which takes you to the beach locations) is less than a 10 minute walk away.

In conclusion, if you are flying in, catching a train and/or bus, this location is centrally located and EASY to reach. When I got off the plane I took the PisaMover from the airport to the train station (5 minutes). As soon as I got out of the train station, the hostel was located less than 2 minutes away by foot. This is a huge relief, especially if you are tired and don't want to "figure out" where your accommodations are located.

What I liked best of the hostel was the decor, it was brand new, the location and the staff! I can't really think of something I didn't like about the hostel; I wish I could have stayed longer!

Room Tip: Great place! Budget friendly and well connected to travel around Tuscany.
