A beautiful small house with a great welcoming atmosphere, superb staff (nothing is too much trouble for Anna Maria who also knows everything about the area) and a lovely pool and garden , this hotel is also excellent value for money. Breakfast is simple but delicious , light lunches are available outdoors whilst dinner is imaginative and served In a gorgeous candle lit conservatory. The restoration of the building (and the rooms) to echo its history as a residence for Napoleon’s sister has been done sensitively and with good taste. Conveniently situated for the lovely city of Luca ( with a good summer festival and close to a great annual Puccini celebration) this is one of the rare places to which one would have no hesitation in returning.

From the instant we arrived until ten days later when we were to fly home, the hospitality of this delightful hotel, could not have been improved. Much was due to the welcoming nature, humour and care of Anna Maria and Sarah whose kindness and patience is second to none. They gave wonderful advice on places to visit and nothing was too much trouble. The Villa itself is interesting as it was built by Napoleon’s sister Elisa in 1806. The pool is well maintained and wonderful for cooling off before or after travelling. It is certainly somewhere to which we would enthusiastically return!

The hotel property is incredibly beautiful. Such a stunning garden in which to lie by the pool with a good book under the Tuscan sun. The room decor was qwerky, but in an extremely elegant way (think patterned wallpaper and renaissance furniture). The staff was so friendly and accommodating - it felt like you were staying at their house, they were such amazing hosts. There's great, amazing local restaurants close by, along with the lovely city of Lucca (17 min. drive from the hotel), Pisa (30 min. drive from the hotel) and of course Florence (a super easy 1 hr drive away). The hotel owner makes a fantastic wine the staff will serve you for only EUR 12 a bottle. Food was delicious and staff service was impeccable. Can't wait for the opportunity to go back as this hotel has absolutely become one of our all time favorites. Fun fact about the hotel -- it was built by Napoleon's sister and housed her ladies in waiting -- you definitely feel part of something special whilst there!

Thank you Biagio, Annamaria, and Gabriel for an unforgettable experience we had at the resort! Our anniversary trip became one of the most memorable and enjoyable trip due to your hospitality and genuine care for us. The food was incredible (thank you our chef Francesco) and we are so glad we ate every night at the restaurant.

The Resort is tucked away from the city center and the building is very charming and well cared for. We will definitely come back to stay!

It's a great base camp to visit Lucca, Pisa, and Firenze and other parts of Tuscany.
