“Best Location Ever!”

Sassetti is a terrific apartment, with only one exception: the bed is so low you'll need a winch to extract yourself (unless, of course, you're under 60, which I'm not). That said, the location couldn't be better -- 5 minutes or less to virtually all the main attractions in the "centro." I was able to see and photograph the "Scorpio del Carrio" parade on Easter morning from windows fronting on via Strozzi and via de'Sassetti. The apartment is one floor above ground, no elevator, with large living room, accommodating kitchen and bath, and a washing machine with the sought-after "rapido" setting so that you can do a load of laundry in only 25 minutes (regular travelers in Italy will know that the cycle on most machines takes 2 hours!). This is the 4th time I've rented through apartmentsitaly.it, and I've never been disappointed: excellent pre-arrival communication, agent shows up promptly, both at beginning and end of your stay, apartments in good shape. Try them, you'll be pleased!

“Extremely Noisy!”
Reviewed 23 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

I booked this apartment for a 23 night stay in Florence this summer, and ended up going home early! The apartment itself is lovely, even though the furniture is a little 'tired'. The main problem is that, being in the centre of everything, it is noisy practically 24/7. For two weeks I did not manage to sleep through a whole night; mainly napping in between scooters, cars, revellers, road sweepers and rubbish trucks (which empty the bins nearby at 5 every morning!). The air conditioning is also in stand-alone units which are also very noisy and due to the fact that they need a hose to be put through a hole in the window whilst operational, this means that you can't shut the shutters to block out noise, light, etc - which, again, adds to the problem! The bed is also very uncomfortable. It is a 4" thick 'mattress' on a solid hard base, very low down and not conducive to a good night's sleep. I ended up putting the mattress from the sofa-bed on top of it to try and make it a bit more comfortable ...
I imagine this apartment would be fine for a long weekend, for someone who is going to be out and about at night time and doesn't mind the hullabaloo going on outside. This is my fourth time staying in the middle of Florence, twice within 100m of this apartment, and it was the first time I have experienced such an uncomfortable stay. The positives are the service received from Apartments Florence and their willingness to try and move me to a different apartment owned by the same owner. As always, they were very helpful and courteous and tried to find a solution - Unfortunately the alternative was even more unsuitable! I would definitely use Apartments Florence again, but wouldn't go anywhere near this apartment!

“In the heart of historic Florence”
Reviewed 2 May 2015 for a stay in March 2015

My wife and I were greeted at the door by Gabriel, the courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful representative of Apartments Florence who was sent to get us settled in the Sassetti 6 one bedroom. This spacious, beautifully rennovated apartment is perfectly located just steps from one of the most popular piazzas in Florence and just a short walk from every other part of Florence that visitors come to see. From here you can walk easily to the Piazzale Michelangelo across the Arno where you can see the most incredible view of the city, or to the Mercato Centrale, an indoor market that is a feast for the eyes, the body, and the soul. Also within easy walking distance are all of the great museums of Florence, great dining experiences, and fabulous places to simply sit and soak up the ambience of one of the most fabulous cities in the world. In addition, the apartment is a short walk to Santa Maria Novella, a train station from which you can easily go anywhere in Italy, from a long day in Venice, to a hike on the Cinque Terre. We were sad to leave after two weeks and gladly rented another apartment from Apartments Floorence when we came back to the city after a week in Rome. AF is a great company that will see to a travelers every need.

Grazie for your positive review on our Sassetti apartment. It is a great location in the centre of Florence, just steps from the world famous Piazza Repubblica. Just outside your door is the high end shopping area along Via Tournabouni & Piazza Strozzi. And you are correct being in the heart of the city comes with its city life noise. Thank you for your kind words about our staff and we are so pleased that you enjoyed our city and service. We are looking forward to welcome you back. Apartment Florence Team
