We loved this apartment. It was incredibly modern with extremely high ceilings and excellent bedrooms. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed including the basics for cooking. The air conditioning was a huge blessing as the temperature outside was in the high 30s throughout our stay. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the space was much nicer than the pictures! The walk in to town takes about 10 minutes to the Pizzi Palace and just under 20 minutes to the Duomo. Boboli gardens are right around the corner as are mini-grocery stores and restaurants. On our first night, from our apartment, we walked about 5 minutes to the best meal we have had on our trip at Il Barone di Porta Romana. We picked Vegan because one of our daughters is vegetarian. The rest of our family is NOT vegetarian and we were a bit nervous about this option. To our family’s delight, the meal was truly spectacular. We were tempted to eat there every night. Ulrika, the owner and manager of the apartment, was really helpful. On our final day, we were able to leave all our luggage in our apartment while we visited the Galleria Dell’Accadamia. How wonderful was that! Ulrika also answered our questions throughout our stay and upon our arrival, she had provided some nice treats to help us settle. As long as you are willing to do an extra 5 minutes of walking, we very highly recommend this site to a family or a couple that is looking for a clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay.
