probably great if you are a first-time tourist. everything new would be exciting to you. but the reality is, many things you see here can be seen in marrakech, fes, dubrovnik, and the nearest touristy flea market to you. i would skip the stalls selling trinkets, bags, and jackets and just go in the covered area and eat at the restaurants there.

San Lorenzo is still worth walking through for fun trinkets, but it does not have the abundant Italian leather jackets, purses, and silk scarves we all would pay extra for to bring home. Now, its hard to find stuff that is made in Italy - which is kinda the reason for strolling through the stalls.

Leather market outside, typical food market on the first floor, but don't miss the
great freshly prepared food options on the 2nd floor.

Tons of variety and fantastic people watching.. We were there at 3pm on a Friday and it was packed with all sorts of people..

As with the other markets in Florence much leather ware on offer as well as tourist souvenirs. Feel free to haggle since there is a lot of duplication and the vendors almost always drop prices by at least 20%

San Lorenzo market is a lot of junk, but also has some good shops and if you are willing to shop and HAGGLE a lot, you get some good finds at good prices.

We bought a leather jacket (roughly half off of list price) and some collapsible waste baskets (cheap).
