This place was great. Newly renovated and in really great shape. All the furniture was brand new, the kitchen equipment was new and everything was very clean. Only 2 blocks from the train station and a few blocks from the river Arno. About a 15 minute walk to the Duomo and a 10 minute walk to a large park. The neighborhood was a normal working type of neighborhood, not too touristy. The host, Alessandro was very quick to respond by email which was great. This place is actually 2 apartments connected. We rented both, but he also rents them out separately under other listings. There is no elevator and it's up 2 flights of stairs, but that seems to be pretty common in Florence. The only thing bad about this place is actually good - it spoiled us for the rest of the trip because it was so nice! 5 stars!

We stayed here just after Easter, this charming apartment is on the second floor with good security and in a great location for walking anywhere in the centre and is within easy access to the station. The accommodation was very clean, modern and very well equipped and the airconditioning took the chill off some of the colder nights. The narrow street can be a little noisy at times but we didn't find it a problem. There is a great delicatessen just outside and the famous Mercardo is also fairly close.
