This was a lovely hotel. It is close to everything, but also on a secondary street for more privacy. Especially like the hotel staff - very accommodating and provided fantastic suggestions for dinner venues off the beaten path.

Room Tip: Best to arrive from airport early in the morning as the main roads near the Duomo close.

My wife and I started our 2 week Italian trip with a 3 night stay in the Palazzo Niccolini and it set a very high standard for the other hotels we stayed at. The room was very spacious - we were fortunate to have been given an upgrade to a very nice apartment setting. The rooms were spacious and the king size bed was very comfortable . The staff was amazing as was the breakfast each morning. One of the other great benefits is the location - it is literally on 75 ft off the square featuring the Duomo - some rooms actually have a view of the square and cathedral. The location couldn't have been better and yet the rooms are quiet. It's also an easy walk to all the other main tourist attractions in Florence. We can't say enough great things about Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo and the staff. We would definitely stay there on another trip to Florence.

We had the good fortune of finding Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo on-line and decided to give it a try. Guidebooks recommend it and they are right! It is very nice.

We were in room 10, and friends in room 11, pictures are included.

The Palazzo is very close to the Duomo but our rooms were quiet, allowing for a good night rest. We stayed 4 nights here. The beds are very comfortable and the baths in both of our rooms are new.

To find it, you should start from the Duomo and watch for a small sign on the right for the Palazzo. You enter a quiet courtyard and the stairs and elevator is on the right. Go to the 2nd floor for the reception.

There is a lovely salon that serves as your breakfast room. We enjoyed it in the afternoons as well.

The front desk was very helpful with reservations for dinner, taxis etc.

Being fortunate enough to stay at Palazzo Niccolini for three days in Florence was the highlight of my trip. It is truly elegant and welcoming transporting you to the time of the Renaissance! The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms had all of the amenities one can need. They even had a Nespresso machine in our room! The breakfasts offer an array of foods from fruits and cereals to eggs, yogurt croissants and meats and cheeses.
The staff could not be more lovely and welcoming.
They even offered us a room upgrade at no charge.
I will definitely be staying there on my next visit to Florence. Thank you Palazzo Niccolini for making my stay so relaxing and enchanting.

We stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary in April and what a beautiful hotel right by the Duomo. This was our first visit to Florence, and was so thrilled to stay in such a historical property. When we arrived, we were upgraded to a huge room, and a welcome bottle of Prosecco. The breakfast room was elegantly decorated, taking you back to another era, with a delicious complementary breakfast. This fabulous historic hotel deserves all the excellent reviews, with comfortable beds, great bathrooms and outstanding service. Easy to walk to the major points of interest, or use the hotel as a base for day trips to Cinque Terre or the Tuscan countryside. Highly recommend .
