“Perfect Location”

We were happy staying in this apartment. The location is great with an easy walk to all the major tourist sites including the Central Market. There was also a nice grocery store to go to at the end of the street. It seemed like a quiet, safe area and the apartment locks up very securely. The apartment was very clean and everything worked well. We were very happy to be able to do some laundry there. The apartment was kind of a strange lay out and it was always a bit cold , probably due to the thick walls of a older building. We wore socks and put the extra blankets on the bed so we were fine. If you do turn on the heat you will have to pay for your electricity usage. The patio garden is very lovely but we did not use.
Rosy was great and responds to questions and emails right away. She was waiting for us in the apartment even though we were late in arriving. Rosy provides a lot of information on Florence and the area but she did not have a tourist map which would have been helpful on our first day. Overall I would recommend this apartment for your stay in beautiful city of Florence.

We were so pleased with our choice of accommodation.
It is within an old building with a history and atmosphere of its own,
perfect for Florence. The rooms were very comfortable and tastefully
furnished, the kitchen is well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our
stay. The private courtyard was put to good use with a relaxing glass
of wine or beer after a hard days sightseeing.
This apartment is
perfect for two, and comfortable for three or four.
We used a number of
local restaurants which were very welcoming, well priced with good
hearty food. We had good communication with the owner who met us as
arranged on arrival and was very helpful.
hope to come back soon.
thank you

“charming apartment, perfect location”
Reviewed 29 July 2014 for a stay in May 2014

My partner and I had a wonderful stay in this beautiful apartment. It has a well-equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, and a good supply of English novels and guide books,
but best of all, it has a courtyard- very unusual for Florence, and
great for taking a break at the end of a day of sightseeing.
The location is excellent especially if travelling by train. This newly-
refurbished, comfortable apartment is 15 minutes walk at most from just
about anywhere you would want to go in Florence, and a daily market,
good bars and cafes and local shops are within two minutes walk.
I highly recommend this apartment

“Reasonably priced and centrally located”
Reviewed 23 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We enjoyed our week in Florence .. it is a wonderful city. The apartment is very close to most of the major places of interest .. just a few blocks from the old market, the Medici Chapel, the Duomo, the Accademia and the Uffizi. There is a very nice bakers/deli just a few doors away for basic food supplies, and a small supermarket at the end of the street.

We contacted Rosy before catching the bus from Florence airport to confirm our arrival time at the apartment. After we had been waiting on the pavement for about 10 minutes a young man arrived to give us the keys and show us a pack of information about the property. He was polite and friendly. The information pack turned out to be informative and useful.

The apartment itself was reasonably spacious for two people, and it was cleanly presented. There was enough crockery and equipment in the kitchen for breakfasts and snack meals. The bathroom was nicely tiled, the shower worked easily and there was a ready supply of hot water. The bed was a good size and there was a good sized wardrobe, too.

The garden was prettily dressed with large plants and trees in attractive terracotta pots. However, as the surrounding buildings are tall, the sun only reaches down into the garden space for a couple of hours in the middle of the day. Consequently, most of the time it was in shade and very cool. Such an area would be great in the heat of the summer months but in May it was rather chilly to sit out. Furthermore, the pipes from the flats above flow down into covered drains in the garden. At times the smell was unpleasant and noticeable inside the flat when we had the doors open to the garden.

The apartment was warm enough during the daytime, but we were very glad that we had taken lots of 'layers' for morning and in the evening (Central heating is provided for the winter months). Tiled floors and rooms which get no solar gain are probably great in July/August. Blankets were provided for the bed and we needed all of them.

I have tried to give a balanced review of the property and would recommend it with the reservations mentioned. I would describe it as quite good for the price, and overall we did enjoy our holiday.
