First, we used the Florence card and went early. We bypassed the line and spent time with David with very few other people. As time went by, the crowd increased. David is the main attraction as well it should be. Amazing! Take the time to explore other areas of the Accademia. Other galleries have world class works of art worth the time to digress and explore beyond David. Take your camera.

A visit to see Michelangelo's David should be on top of everyone's bucket list...nothing gives it justice as seeing it in person. David was beyond all my expectations!!!

Seeing this masterpiece is worth double the entrance price! Just make sure to book online to skip the queue - and try to go early evening as it is less crowded.

If you like quing for ages, to then be hurded round like cattle in unbearable heat, with rude people barging, pushing and shoving(most of whom are only interested in seeing one thing,) DAVID, then go for it.. Or just see the one outside the Palazzo Vechio, and chill with a bear.
