The propert was breathtaking! Everything you need is available. The owners are extremely gracious as well.
Recently stayed here with a group of friends. Clean, beautifully landscaped. Safe. Rarely do pictures look as nice as the websites, but this place is truly better than the pictures. Make sure you use Deborah and Chef Ryan. The tours with Deborah were better than I even thought they would be. If you go to Florence/Pisa make sure Albino takes you.
Villa was beautiful was amazing views of the countryside. Beautiful pool and bocce ball court to entertain. Wine cellar was well stocked and very well priced. Family was very kind and generous. Would absolutely stay there again in the future.
A secluded 10-minute drive from wonderful old Cortona town ... this is a lovely fully-equipped villa in own grounds, with superb large pool, great views to Val di Chiana, own vegetable patch, winery and a pizza oven! OK, there's also SKY tv, the internet, a microwave and new air conditioning. This is the second time we have stayed with Giovan and Chiara - they are on hand to help and advise if needed ... making for a wonderful peaceful vacation. There's a nice small family run supermarket, friendly bar and fine pizzeria in Pergo, 5 minutes away. The restaurants in Cortona just get better and better every year (see other reviews) ... it is really tough to beat the Tuscan vacation experience and Villa ai Cedri is simply a great base camp. Andare e godere!
The Villa Ai Cedri is a beautiful villa nestled among olive trees, vegetable gardens and beautiful plants and trees. As it sits on top of a hill, it has a gorgeous panaramic view of the surrounding area, as well as exsquisite sunsets. The villa is located close enough to visit many places such as Assisi, Montepulciano, Cortona and Siena, all of which our family did easily and with time to return to the villa to lounge by the pool, play bacci ball and ping pong, or cook a meal using the vegetables and herbs from the garden.
The villa has wifi, a wine cellar and cable TV, but you will rarely turn on the T.V. as there is so much to do and see in the area and at the villa itself.
The owner of the villa, Giovan, and his family live in a house on an adjacent property and are available if you need anything. They are incredibly kind and generous. There was a gigantic homemade pie waiting for us when we arrived, baked by Giovan's mother as a welcome to us. My son said it was the best pie he has ever eaten and I agree.
Everyday we spent at the Villa felt like a gift. We are already looking to return.
