This is a lovely (but fairly remote) house, nestled high in the Sicilian hills. It has it's own small swimming pool and is very spacious inside, with large bedrooms, a decent kitchen and a large shower/washroom.
The main thing that you should be aware of, is that it is quite out of the way. It's a half hour walk to the nearest small, hillside village (Motta Camastra) which becomes more like an hours walk on the way back up. Also, Motta Camastra has no restaurants and only one small shop which is essentially someone's front room. There was a bar but it was solely populated by rotund Sicilian men, and as a family with small children we didn't venture in. There are larger towns (with supermarkets) just a short drive away though, and some lovely little Sicilian villages atop nearby hills (such as Castiglione di Sicilia).
The house itself was very clean and tidy, and there was plenty of towels, sheets, linen, etc. and also a washing machine, and plenty of outdoor space for drying clothes. Wherever you walk outdoors, tiny lizards scuttle away from you and the views across the valley are beautiful, including views of Mount Etna.
All in all it's a picturesque and pleasant retreat.
