This was our last night in Sicily and I always rely on Trip advisor for reviews. Having seen the reviews we left until the last night. Things seemed off from our first arrival (pre booked table) we were ushered inside and left with the menu for a while, the staff seemed to be running around frantically which was really off putting. The table of 6 behind us left saying "let's get out of here" and although no food left on plates wine and other drinks were left....the short if this story was my main was forgotten about but I was blamed (I miss understood you, although I was told I had made good choices) my main was not added to the bill but as my husband and I are separately it wasn't good (even free) the food was first class and i mean excellent but without the service it's a standard experience. Not many tables tonight were happy so this was either a bad night or hidden reviews!

Cane here after reading TA reviews. Don’t come here if you are hungry! Booked a table for 8.30 and were shown to a table pretty promptly. Took more than half an hour to take a drinks order - and got it wrong. Eventually asked for a food order and got out starters at 9.30 pm. Very tasty but not very substantial even though we are not big eaters. Then waited another 45 minutes for our mains and when we asked when they were coming were offered a free coke for my youngest and an apology. Food tasty but portions very limited and left feeling hungry. Thought about desert but decided we were too tired to wait any longer. Disastrous and expensive night out and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. If it had been busy or overcrowded U might have understood but it was neither. Interestingly an Italian couple with a child arrived over an hour after us - got drinks starters and a meal for child almost instantaneously and were served mains while we waited 15 minutes for the bill. Expensive disaster - be warned.

We ate at L’Arco dei Cappuccini recently, and had a wonderful meal. We had intended to eat at another restaurant nearby, but were put off by the fact that all of the outside tables were taken and the inside tables would have involved watching the World Cup. But we were delighted that we chose L’Arco instead. The front of house team, Sonia and Luca, were very friendly and hospitable, and knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu as well as the wine on the list. We both had the sliced steak, perfectly cooked rare and medium-rare, with a delightful little salad. Dessert for me was the semifreddo, which was perfect: cold but soft, creamy and served with a sprinkling of chopped local pistachios. Our wine, from the slopes of Etna, complemented the beef perfectly. The only way to round off such a delicious meal was with an espresso and a brandy, so that is what we did! We’ll be back without a doubt.
