A quiet little oasis in the madness that is Catania. The suites and common areas were well maintained, the staff were helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Overall we were happy with the hotel but checked out early and moved onto Siracusa/Ortigia as Catania itself was not at all pleasant.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on a Rick Steves tour of Sicily. The location was central, within walking distance of most of the town's attractions. The accommodations were very good, clean, quiet, well-appointed room and helpful staff who spoke excellent English. Buffet breakfast was also very good. Highly recommended.

Room tip: Don't expect a view.

This is a nice classic hotel situated very close to Via Etnea (downtown). Rooms are nice and very clean, the area is quiet and all historical buildings easy to reach by foot.

The personell was extremely nice and helpful, I can easily recommend this hotel :-)

Very beautiful rooms and shared areas. Good air-conditioning which for Sicily is a must. Very easy walk to city centre and for a stroll down stunning Via Etnea. Friendly and helpful service. Good breakfasts as well - try the prickly pear jam! Very much recommended!

We stayed at the Liberty as we were flying out of Catania the next morning and it was a good place to stage. It's only about 20 minutes to the airport so very convenient on that front and walking distance to good restaurants and those attractions (Roman Teatro, Duomo, etc.) that Catania holds. Indoor parking available 24 hours 100 meters away. Rooms are nice, spacious, clean and comfortable. Common areas are traditional and well kept. The breakfast is excellent. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and/or accommodating. While Catania isn't in a league with some other cities in Sicily, this hotel is first rate in every way and highly recommended for a stay.

Room tip: Stayed on the first floor, very convenient to do so, and quiet.
