The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the location convenient. The en suite bathroom was rather cramped, but the main room was of ample size, as was the comfortable bed. The restaurant isn't the most romantic, being very plain and harshly lit, but the kitchen is competent and after one long day out sightseeing it was very convenient to be provided with an excellent value meal "in".
Oristano proved to have several good restaurants, especially Josto al Duomo and Craf, the latter also known locally as the Banana. TA has reviews of both. One word of warning: there are some light fingered people about, and we had a camera taken from a rucksack while walking in town on our first evening. Moral of that story: NEVER relax your guard, even when the surroundings appear unthreatening.More
