Owner description: Connecting Castelvecchio and Adige, this powerful bridge was first built in the 1st century AD, destroyed during World War II, and rebuilt using parts of the original structure.
Reviewed 2 April 2018

We spent over three hours visiting Castelvecchio, looking around inside and outside. Although the paintings depicting the religious history of the museum were lovely to see, we expected more information and exhibits regarding the history and conflicts of the building.
The gentleman working at the front of the museum selling tickets was extremely rude, however.

Nice historic old bridge and just a short walk across, can also walk up the parapets for a good picture halfway along.

If you want to see the city from a different angle this is the place. The castle is not bad, definitely smaller than the castle in Milano, however has a lovely point of view and should visit if staying or passing by Verona

Interesting use of what was originally a castle. Houses fascinating art, has great views of river and bridge.

The architecture of the structure is truly a Verona highlight to visit. Don't recommend climbing up the rampart steps for only a marginally better view of the river. Too many have hurt themselves.
