Delightful location, excellent food and wine, good friendly service. House wine local and great quality (vintage). Food cooked on site from raw ingredients and brilliant value for money.

It was our last night in Verona after a week's stay for our 30th wedding anniversary and we wanted to find somewhere really special. Well we definitely found it at the Cafe Dante. Excellent service, wonderful food and we were made to feel very special. The menu offers a wide variety. We had foie gras to start with toasted brioche and spiced pear. My husband had the rack of lamb which he said was the best he has ever tasted. I had the ravioli with prawns and turbot. Absolutely delicious. All washed down with a bottle of classico Valpolicello served slightly chilled. This was definitely the best meal we had had in Verona. The setting of this restaurant is superb in the Piazza del Signori surrounded by decades of history.

Caffe Dante is great meal in a stunning spot, at a fair price! Verona guidebooks and concierges recommend restaurants in alleys and on parking lots, claiming that the cafes are tourist traps. At least at Caffe Dante, that's not true. The homemade pastas we had, salad, and the mixed seafood grill were exceptional. And guests seems to be savoring the Florence-style T-bone steaks. And the evening on Piazza Dante was delightful, surrounded by architectural wonder, music, and fun. Full of locals, the wait staff is informative, entertaining and accommodating to all.

There can't be much more enjoyable than sitting under the stars in Piazza dei Signori taking in the sights, eating fine food and exploring an extensive wine list. Exceptional service from Paul and prices that won't hurt the budget.
