Owner description: We are here — we have made it our mission — to prove to Venice visitors that once you get away from the maddening crowds around Piazza San Marco, and we get you into the real, living, Venetian neighborhoods, thriving with restaurants and caffes without the dreaded “menu turistico”, you will be enchanted by this city and stunned at the beauty and variety of the foods we eat here!

A great tour for your first day in Venice! All in English by a friendly and informative couple. Maya and Adam have organized a wonderful tour promoting the traditional foods of Venice . We did the dinner tour and it included information on how to order the fresh house wines. Generous amount of food: 5 appetizers at 3 places, dinner, gelato and a final drink.

My husband, myself and another couple had never been on a food tour before. When I told my husband we had tickets for this he grimaced. Well, we ALL had a terrific time. We are not foodies and, in fact, are pretty boring when it comes to eating. It was really helpful to learn about the different foods available in Venice, how to go about ordering them, and where to find the best quality foods. Maya and Adam are fun to be with and you can tell that they cultivate good relationships with the shop owners. At the end of the tour we sat out on a lovely patio and they introduced us the a delightful beverage known as a Campari Spritz. We proceeded to order those throughout the rest of our trip through Italy. Addicted! Now whenever I order one I will remember the great day we spent meeting new foods and new people in beautiful Venice, Italy.

We enjoyed the tour, but were disappointed that our guides were not natives, but recent transplants. The traghetto ride across the Grand Canal was fun. The wine and ciccetti were very good. The area covered in Cannaregio was not very big, so not too much walking. The main dish part of the progressive “dinner” at the Trattoria Storico was delicious, but not enough. Served family style your portion was a few spoonfuls of each food. Their mushroom risotto was delicious, just not enough food. I felt the tour was overpriced compared to other food tours we have taken in Europe

We had a great time wandering the back streets (and canals) of Venice on the track of the food and spirit of Venice, both modern and long-ago. Maya and Adam were great; highly recommended!

My husband and I really enjoyed going into the little local bars. The shop keepers were all so friendly and welcoming. The food and wine tastings were delicious! Maya and Adam were really fun tour guides. We had a great time!
