Nice station, however I was very unimpressed that it is 1 euro to use the toilets. The machine didnt accept 2euro coins either

Good location overall though

This is the main station if not the only station you will use to get to Venice by train. Just down the road you will have a bus terminal as will (Corsia 2) to travel to mainland by public transport (€1.5 for a 75 minute ticket).

The vaporetto ticket is €7.50 but unsure if it's also for 75 minutes. You can buy these at the many automated machines around herewhich at available in English and at least 2 other languages, probably German and French but I'm not 100% sure.

The station has a few restaurants/cafes and stores.

The train service runs on time. Upon arrival AVOID the men in yellow vests that indicate that they are hotel porters. They will attempt to charge you 15 euros for moving your bags 50 feet to a water taxi. There are steps (but to your right as you exit the station facing the canal) there is a ramp. Walk to your left and grab water taxi-approximately 60 euros to Rialto Bridge. Or, you can hop aboard line 1 (public boat) which will take you to Rialto Bridge. An all day pass will be 20 euros or you can purchase a weekly pass for 60 euros.

This was a really tough review to write. The reason for that is because my wife and I do like this hotel because of its closeness to the train station, the room is a good size and the air conditioning works well. With that said there are a couple of things to be aware of. First as I am writing this after a long day sight seeing. I just wanted to crash and watch a little tv.Well the problem is that they have the volume set on the TV so that you cannot change it and needless to say you can't hear it. It is quite frustrating since you can't hear the sports announcers, the news, or a movie. The other issue is that it seems they may be using water savers in the shower and thus the flow of water is really restricted. I gave a rating of of 3 because of good things above but we will look at different hotels for our visit to Venice

Quick and easy to access. Easy to find trains and a place to sit and eat. Trains run right on schedule.
