This is a super little place - and especially well-situated, literally no more than two minutes from the Salute vaporetto stop, and then very easy to find.
Our room wasn't especially large - but then again, not the tiny box we've previously had in Venice. It was very clean; had everything we needed (and a few, like a TV and minibar that we didn't), was warm in the cold December days we stayed - and perfectly comfortable.
Generous breakfast; excellent capuccino; and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Ca' Zose is a great jumping-off point for exploring the definitely non-touristy Dorsoduro area, but should you want to head over the Grand Canal, you're only a few minutes walk from the Accademia Bridge, or you can get the city's cheapest gondola ride across at one of the nearby 'traghetto' crossing points.
Downside ? No lift may be a deal-breaker for those with lots of heavy bags. (Only 2 floors though...)
Would we stay here again ? In a heartbeat. Highly recommended.More
