Traveled by train so handy for the station. This is really good hotel in a great position, recommended some really nice restaurants, bit of challenge to find but worth it. Service and Staff could not be faulted. Would definitely go back.

The hotel is small and beautiful right on the Grand Canal. It’s convenient to the train station and a main hub for cars and taxis. It’s a bit of a walk to the Rialto Bridge and St Mark Square, but lots of shops and cafes along the way. The staff is excellent and very accommodating. At first we were in an annex building since rooms are limited but they were very helpful in moving us when they could. The morning buffet and coffees are wonderful and the terrace is small but perfect for breakfast and a night cap in the evening. Venice by day and night is romantic and beautiful!

Had a wonderful 3 day stay at Hotel Canal Grand. Fantastic location near train station and water transportation access. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options. Fell in love with beautiful Venice and the hotel added to the ambiance.
If you are not satisfied with something, just ask at the front desk and give them a chance to make it right. Pillows were too hard for my wife so we asked for a softer pillow, which they were more than happy to accommodate. Excellent customer service! They were grateful we asked.

Lovely hotel, staff so friendly & polite. Hotel has extra buildings out the back. Our building had 3 rooms. 1 downstairs - think it was a large family room & 2 rooms upstairs. Our room was quite and just the right size. Tv hidden in the dresser so no ugly tv on the wall. Shower had different settings. You access the hotel via the waterside on the smallprivate pier which takes you directly into the hotel. Air conditioned. Ornate room. Beautifal view ovrr the canal & a small area outside to sit have breakfast or just a drink

The hotel is both away from the crowds and convenient to attractions and transportation. We loved the classic decor and amenities of this boutique hotel. Great breakfast and is also a nice setting for a drink before dinner. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The 15 minute walk to the Rialto bridge was more interesting than seeing the bridge, which was packed with tourists. We were happy that we weren’t staying there or in the San Marco area. We arrived at the hotel’s dock from the airport by private speed boat taxi. While expensive, it is the most fun you will ever have making an airport transfer. I highly recommend it as a great way to start your visit. We ended by walking to the car rental offices near the bus terminal. Yes, you must travel over a few small bridges, but if your luggage has wheels, it’s no big deal and it’s a nice little walk along the canal.
