In spite of repeated requests (prior to and even after our arrival in Milan) for check-in time and meeting arrangements, the owner never responded and didn't show up to let us in. We waited in an airless courtyard for more than two hours with no response to phone calls, messages, texts, emails. After we finally gave up and located a hotel, the owner texted late that afternoon and said she'd be right over to let us in. I told her not to bother. When I complained to TripAdvisor, she argued about giving us a refund, insisting that we "had decided to stay somewhere else," Next she insisted on keeping 200 euros "for her trouble" (Her trouble???), but eventually agreed to a refund. Quite honestly, this is one of the worst travel experiences I've ever had.
