We had already had a large lunch and had further sustenance with our aperitif at a local bar - so were looking for somewhere comfortable to have a snack and a drink or two, rather than a full meal.
It apparently gets very busy at lunchtimes with the local workers but, when we arrived mid evening, we found it was pleasantly relaxed and we each tried one of their piadinas. Piadinas are Italian flatbread filled with a choice of ingredients and this place has a big selection and, if you like, you can also choose other ingredents than their standard menu ones. We were helped with our choices by the very friendly and enthusiastic owner,
The piadinas are all freshly made to order and both ours were very tasty and filling.
Piadinas go extremely well with a beer and the piadineria has two artisanal beers on tap (blonde and amber) from the Birrificio Italiano brewery in the Como region - both very tasty. If you prefer wine, there are half bottles of red (Merlot) and white for less than you often pay for a glass.
In fact, all the prices were very reasonable. Very enjoyable hour or so spent here, thanks very much. Recommended.
