Owner description: The Duomo, symbol of Milan in the world, is one of the largest cathedrals in Italy and Europe. Patrimony of Milanese people and humanity, over the centuries it has been expressing, with its magnificence, the devotion of humanity toward the Divine, involving future generations in an endless commitment. The Milan Cathedral, besides being an artistic monument, is a privileged place of prayer, deeply linked to the memory and teachings of the Bishops who succeeded on St. Ambrose's chair, and to the history of the millions of worshippers who, every year, gather in this place to celebrate the Sacred Mysteries. The Cathedral is the mother Church of the Diocese, having a symbolic role of exemplarity both in the life of the city worship, and in relation with the Diocese activity.

Entry is by ticket and queues are long. We got tickets to the roof via the elevator. In hindsight should have paid extra for the fast track tickets,as que was 2 hrs long. Don’t know if this was unusually busy ((Easter Monday). Great views from the top. If you go down the opposite elevator (the fast track one) you can get into the cathedral at the bottom of the elevator without queuing, which saves a long time (although you do have a wait at the top (half an hour).

The cathedral itself is stunning.

Gave it a 3 because of the queuing

Omg! I was utterly blown away with this magnificent cathedral, the inside was even more breathtaking. It’s definitely a tourist magnet. Don’t visit Milan without visiting the Gothic Duomo. Tickets were so cheap, I honestly thought we would pay more. We only paid 6 euros for two tickets and line wasn’t even long.

It was raining and the queues were long. So we didn't end up there but it looked magical! Had a bit of a crazy guy yelling at you next door. But it's worth it!

To miss the crowds we paid for the express visit which was well worth it. Straight up to the roof and into the wonderful sights of Milan’s centre. The renovations are amazing and worki h is still being done but it didn’t spoil the visit. On the top of the Duomo, the ceiling of the cathedral, we were given views over the city up into the Alps, wonderful. The rest of the church was interesting and engaging, well worth the trip and time. Enjoy x
