Description: Typical Milanese cuisine restaurant run by the same family for 80 years and recognized by the city of Milan as the family license most historic in Milan. The restaurant hosts evenings with live music on Tursday and Fridays with jazz, cabaret and cover band during the winter season. Classic dishes are the milanese style saffron crispy rice, the homemade pastas and meats as typical Milanese osso buco, veal cutlet, rustin negaa, beef tartare, and veal with tuna sauce. Careful selection of wines with particular regard to small wine producers. Family atmosphere, full of art with soft lighting for lunches and dinners and the possibility of rooms reserved exclusively for companies or groups of friends.

Went here on a business dinner. A restaurant that you cannot find as a foreigner as it is in a suburb location. Only local people in the restaurant and some local business men bringing international guests.
Very cosy and stylish restaurant. Menu has very local and traditional food. Food is of an excellent quality and great selection of wine. We had a wonderful evening and dinner.

The restaurant was recommended by a couple of my students and is well worth the trip out of the centre of Milan. The restaurant was opened in 1936 by the grandparents of the current owner and is full of amusing and interesting artefacts. As you enter you are greeted by the sight of a huge ornamental ostrich, which sets the tone for the decoration of the trattoria. There are a number of rooms, making the atmosphere intimate and relatively quiet.
The service is excellent. Very friendly waiters, who know the food well and can advise you about the menu. The service is efficient, but unhurried.
The menu is predominantly traditional Milanese cuisine, with seasonal and daily specials. The wine list is amazing-extremely comprehensive and excellently priced. My husband (who is a wine lover) was spoilt for choice.
We had a lovely time, and would definitely go back if we come to Milan in the future.

Find this gem of a restaurant and you’ll be rewarded with superb traditional and local Italian food. This place has a real family feeling. I loved the ambience. Cluttered and homely. I’m looking forward to returning. English spoken and an English menu available. Off the beaten track in what could be said an unglamorous location in Milan.

Great place to eat, a bit difficult to find perhaps but it is worthwhile. Great food and wines, and nice atmosphere for a dinner. Kitchen is traditional Milanese so try itnout
