I booked this restaurant based on the reviews on this website.. I hadn’t factored the distance from our hotel, 35min walk! But it didn’t disappoint, well off the tourist trial. Plus the walk back to our hotel allowed us to walk off the amount of food we ate! It is a very traditional, classic, homely place. The service from the waiter and waitress was impeccable. Nothing was too much trouble. To start my husband and I shared a cheese board with local jams and baked gnocchi with tomato and burrata. Having read about the restaurants 70 yr old grill, we had to try grilled meat....absolutely delicious! I had the grilled steak with rocket and Parmesan, my husband went for the Royal grill (beef, pork, chicken, ribs and sausage ( you need a big appetite!) all beautifully cooked and full of flavour.. two final mentions, you have to try the baked potatoes, crispy, light with hint of rosemary and salt. The wine- spoilt for choice! In the end we picked a bardolino classica at 13€ is was a great value for money wine, rich and fruity.. our bill came to 78€ and worth every penny

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening and were the only customers for most of the night, perhaps because it is away from the main thoroughfare and towards the end of the season. What it lacked in atmosphere it more than made up for with the food. Our main course of sea bream was the best we have ever had. Would highly recommend you seek out this little gem.

On advice from TripAdvisor we were looking for a traditional Italian restaurant family run and good food and we were not disappointed. the start of sardines was really good well worth a try well-presented really really tasty the main course this is when the fun started.
My Italian is not very good but the waitress seemed to have a grasp of the English language or least that's what I thought but when my main course arrived it did not look like what I ordered they obviously was a bit of confusion when placing the order even when point to the dish on the menu , when she took it away she did not look impressed she was very short and to the point with me , on arrival of my main course back in the kitchen we could hear pots and pans being thrown around and quite loud voices we are imagining a sketch from The Muppet Show with the mad chef and we kind of found it funny.
The meal was put right and it was extremely good but did spoil the evening somewhat .

.cordiali saluti

Family of 4, visited first time based on TripAdvisor reviews. Was not disappointed. We had a caprese salad,a mixed grill and ravioli with mussels. House red and 2 waters with 1 coke. Had a tiramisu and baked Alaska for dessert with 2 expresó coffees. Price was €77 including coperto (cover charge). The wine was exceptional at €12! The food was the best we’ve had since arriving last week. I only have 2 days left but will definitely be returning. The only advice would be to have a translator on your phone as the waiters don’t speak English!
