“Absolutely wonderful apartment - we just can't wait to return!”
Reviewed 7 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

This apartment has a spectacular view of the lake, and enough room for 4 people to sit on the balcony and take in all that Lake Como has to offer, whether enjoying a nice breakfast or sipping on a pre-dinner glass of wine.

For us, it was the perfect balance in terms of location. Near enough to the centre that you could take a nice stroll and be there in 10 minutes, yet far enough that you could enjoy the peace and quiet of the more rural part of Bellagio.

The owner clearly has great taste in terms of decoration, which was much admired by us all! A contemporary apartment, with all that you could ask for, with a few antique, rustic pieces of furniture thrown in to the mix to give some real character.

The apartment was spotless, the fixtures of a very good quality, and generally had an excellent feel to it. The only shame was that we had to leave.

Having stayed in many rented apartments before, I can say from experience that you'll have to go a long way to beat this one.

Thank you to Carlo who handled the booking (the owner), Marzia who was so friendly and helpful to see us in and tell us all about the area, and Silvia for the cleaning. A truly great team!

“Wonderful apartment!”
Reviewed 1 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

This apartment is lovely! Beautifully designed, spotlessly clean and very well equipped.

It is a perfect apartment for 2 couples as there are 2 nice bedrooms and 2 shower rooms.

It has a fabulous view of lake Como and is a perfect distance away to be quiet yet close enough to be able to walk into town easily for access to all the restaurants and bars and ferry crossing. The lady who showed us around, Marzia, was so friendly and helpful, giving us advise on everything we needed. Bellagio is a beautiful town and even well out of season has enough places to go to eat and drink.

Carlo, the owner, gave us some great restaurant recommendations.

There are wonderful walks and ferries to towns on the other side of the lake. We would definitely stay there again!

“Lovely apartment”

We were met at the apartment by Marzia, who gave us plenty of advice and tips regarding eating, shopping etc. The apartment was very clean and has a modern, convenient kitchen area with dishwasher and washing machine. The main bedroom has an ensuite with bath and overhead shower and the other bedroom is situated beside the main bathroom, which has a walk-in shower. The view over the lake from the balcony is beautiful and we enjoyed breakfast and evening drinks just watching the boats going up and down the lake. Although some of the other apartments were occupied we felt very private and as the building was in gated grounds we also felt very secure. Being situated about a mile from the town and harbour the apartment was very quiet. Marzia advised us to use the local super-market which was situated about 10 minutes walk from the apartment. We also found the Bellagio Sporting Club, which was a short walk away. Drinks there were cheaper than in the town and it had an excellenct small restaurant which we used on two evenings. Walking towards the town, there is a good Pizza restaurant at the bottom of the hill and a few yards further along is the Belvedere Hotel where dinner is served on the terrace overlooking the lake. However, the food and drinks there were expensive. There are numerous eating places in the town and on the waterfront but the downside is the the walk back to the apartment. It is a steep walk up steps from the harbour and then from the top of the town it is a long slope up to the apartment. A taxi back from the town cost 10Euro, alternatively, during the day a little train runs from the harbour, alongside the ferry terminal, up the hill. It runs every 40 minutes and costs 5 Euro per adult. We used the ferries crossing the lake to the other little towns and also travelling as far as Como. A very relaxing way to travel on a hot day. I would suggest that Bellagio is not for anybody with mobility problems as the town is a series of steep stepped lanes running down to the waterfront. However, if exploring the lake towns by car, the apartment has secure parking.

“Great Patio & View & Location”
Reviewed 15 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We just returned from a 10 day trip to Italy. We spent 3 nights at this rental in Bellagio and had a wonderful stay. The apartment is well-situated, about a 10 minute walk to the charming old-town Bellagio. It's set up fairly well, though we do like to cook and it wasn't perfectly equipped but manageable. I brought this up with Carlo, the owner, and he said he'd equip it better. There's such a great patio w/ a beautiful view of Lake Como, it begs to be utilized with lunches and dinner and wine. Beds are comfy. We had our 17 yr old niece with us so the extra bed and bath was necessary. Added bonus, the best pizza of our trip was nearby, just down the street on the left, La Bellagina Pizza.
