Very helpfull customer service, ambient old italian atmosphere of the place, very clean, comfortable bed, magnificent meal in the morning-special thanks to the lady who was watching over the breakfast.

We arrived close to midnight at Bergamo and were taxied to the hotel. The reception welcomed us, and without any hassle we got our room, with a smaller bed for our grandson - all as was pre-arranged thru expedia. We had a very good breakfast with cups of cappucci delivered to our table. The hotel has an old-fashioned interior referring to the town's history. We had a chat with the receptionist who gave us a brief rundown of the hotel - whose name stands for The City of a Thousand - and the story of Garibaldi and his place in Italian history. We left satisfied to board a train taking us to our long-awaited vacation near Venezia.

Room Tip: Close to Bergamo Caravaggio airport (no direct city bus stopping close by, though) and less than a kilometer to Bergamo railway terminal

Stayed there for one night, price was arround 80€ for two people. Room was in old style, red colores bathroom looked a little bit strange.
Did not really like it, air condition was working only at 25C. Breakfast was poor. Location for traveling to Milan by train is good. I think hotel is overpriced. Will not come back here again.

Drove to Bergamot. Hotel easy to access from autostrada. Has car park. Reception staff excellent. Certainly one gentleman had excellent English and was very helpful. Recommended great restaurant. 15 minute walk to new town. 20 - 25 minutes to funicular to old town. Room clean, comfortable. Bathroom adequate. Air conditioning not great. Had ceiling fan also...noisy. breakfast poor, but staff helpful.

We stayed one night and had no real problems. This hotel has "old-style" decor (eg green and brown floral tiles in the bathroom), which some may like, though we would prefer something more modern. However, everything worked, and it was clean. Good range of toiletries in the bathroom (btw, the beds were rather soft, we prefer harder mattresses). Not 100% satisfied with the breakfast: there were all sorts of bits and pieces we would never eat for breakfast, jams and cakes and sweetstuffs, plus stuff we couldn't recognize, but very little hot food, only one type of cheese, and - to-be-honest - substandard coffee.
On the whole, though, we were satisfied, and had no real complaints.
