My wife and I stayed with Giuliano for 2 nights of our 15th anniversary holiday in Italy. Booking online was simple and I appreciated his quick responses. He made meeting him simple getting off the train in Vernazza and then helped us with our bags getting up to his guest house which looks over the train station to the lower part of town and the sea.

We stayed in his room called Sofia due. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean, very well decorated and functional. He has a small, beautiful flower garden outside. We appreciated Giuliano for giving us recommendations for hiking and for making us feel welcome. We hope to be back soon!

We stayed two nights. Easy to find and Guiliano can see you from the plaza when you call to meet him.

We stayed in the Villia Sofia room. Very clean. Great view from the roof top patio.

Giuliano is hospitable and knows everyone. He always answered my emails and phone calls. Ciao

Cinque Terre is a wonderful corner of the world to explore. Guiliano's strong personality shines through. His love of Italy and Vernazza is palpable. He gave great advice on the trails to take and took care of us well. The rooms are literally on the hillside so all travellers should be aware that you have to climb steps every time you go to and from the room.

Camere Giuliano is an amazing place! We stayed there in early March and loved it!
Tucked away on the hillside just above town, Camere Giuliano is a lovely, small, quaint hotel that reflects the care and personality of its innkeeper/owner, Giuliano. Our Vernazza experience began when Giuliano picked us up at the train station to guide us on the short walk to his beautiful hotel. Along the way he treated us to a brief history of the area and his family's long association -- going back many, many generations -- with the town of Vernazza. As we approached the hotel we kept stopping to take in the gorgeous view of the town and sea below. The view from Camere Giuliano, and the carefully landscaped patio out front of the rooms, are amazing! The hotel itself is a collection of guest rooms, each with custom stonework done by Giuliano himself. He is truly an artisan. The rooms are extremely clean and nicely decorated, with large windows that open out to showcase the sea below. Giuliano has put just as much thought into the garden spaces in and around each room. Just fabulous!

As gorgeous as the views are, the best part of our visit to Vernazza was the opportunity to meet Giuliano. Not only was he a fun and terrific host, he went way above and beyond the call in helping us deal with a sudden and serious health issue affecting our son that happened while we were there. Giuliano called his own doctor to find out the best hospital in Milan to treat our son, walked us to the train station, helped us buy the correct train tickets, made sure we boarded the right train, and even emailed us the next day to see how our son was doing. Now that's outstanding customer service! Giuliano was an absolutely warm and caring host!

We highly recommend Camere Giuliano -- and it's owner Giuliano. Beautiful rooms, amazing views and a gem of an innkeeper. Our next trip to Cinque Terre will absolutely include a return visit to Camere Giuliano! We loved this beautiful place! Thank you for everything, Giuliano!

The Cinque Terre is unlike any place I've ever seen and I highly recommend staying there for a minimum of three full days to fully enjoy the towns. Put the phones away. Take an evening stroll. Try new foods. Talk to the locals. Watch the sunset from the harbor.

Staying with Giuliano was the best decision we made. He is a wonderful host and expects the same courtesy from his guests. Just like anyone in the tourism industry, he's had his fair share of bad experiences. As a result, he's become more cautious over the years. Listen to what he tells you and seek to understand him. He’s a very wise man. I encourage you to get to know Giuliano and take a real interest in his life and Vernazza. If you are respectful of him and his home, I promise you will have a fantastic and one-of-a-kind experience. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for you and loves to take care of his people. We frequented his restaurant because the food and service were perfect. Whenever we saw him in town, we made it a point to talk to him, even if it was just for a few minutes. Giuliano makes this more than just a place to sleep; he makes it a home away from home.

The room amenities were similar to any name brand hotel (minus a television). There’s a separate kitchen area where he provides a refrigerator and dishes for your use. The community terrace is beautiful and has a great view downtown to the waterfront. It’s amazing… Giuliano built this place with his own hands! He’s a very talented craftsman. Everything about his property is inviting and relaxing. He makes it easy to fall in love with Vernazza.

We’ll be back as soon as possible, Giuliano! Best wishes.
