My family of 4 shared this room for 2 nights which had a great view looking all around Riomaggiore from the patio. The room is comfortable and clean and the place is located in perfect location to walk abut the town.

We had such a great experience. We stayed at La Baio di Rio 2 in Room 8 and it was really fabulous - modern and clean and roomy. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Location is perfect. Would stay here again if we go back to the Cinque Terre.

The newly renovated rooms and views are gorgeous, a really wonderful place to stay. Comfy beds and pillows. Really nicely done.
Emiliano was a wonderful host, full of information and calm. He also knows everyone in Riomaggiore it seemed so could get restaurant bookings which was fabulous.
His mother, however, was very erratic and rude. When I got lost trying to find them I called her and she just repeatedly shouted DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE at me until I hung up. It was really weird.
If you decide to park in the garage then prepare to be screamed at as she tells you how to drive, she has no people skills and should not be allowed to talk with guests. She made me cry.
You also have to leave your car keys there hanging up next to the open door of the garage with the cars fully on display. We wouldn't have minded if it was a rental but it was our own car and we were travelling with all our belongings from our wedding/honeymoon so lots of valuables and for some reason whenever we returned to the car she had opened all of the windows. They also move the cars around lots in the garage - i'm not sure if they are insured should they cause damage.
Our stay was wonderful except for her so don't let this put you off, just park somewhere else and you won't have to deal with her at all.
Room tip: Get a takeaway pizza and sit on the rocks to watch the sunset

Perfect hotel for our one night stay, all kinds of other options. After driving in from Tuscany parking was most important and amazingly Marseille got our car into her garage. Perfect. Our room was tiny but all brand new and beautifully done. Her son showed us how to use the elevators and tunnel to get into town, so very easy and don’t know if we would have figured it out on our own. His English was really good since he lived in CA for a time, so wonderful . Since we are quite senior sure appreciated the special attention. Thank you

This place is super easy to access. Close to everything. Super helpful host. The kitchen was a bonus. The place was perfect in every way. We loved our stay there. And what a view from the balcony! The place felt like our home away from home. We will definitely use this place again next time we come back. Highly recommended.

First, let me share the great things about it. The location is fantastic with lovely ocean views and it’s easily accessible from one of the town’s two elevators. (Which, let me say, as an avid hiker I never thought I would find important until I was in Cinque Terre for 6 days.) Second, the host was amazing and got us reservations at the best tables at the two fantastic restaurants in town. So enjoyed that. Now the candid negatives. They have to have some of the worst hotel pillows we’ve ever had. They were so thick and hard that we ended up emptying the pillow cases then searching the hotel room for anything else we could stuff into them to make them tolerable. Second, you can’t help but hear every noise in the adjacent rooms whether they are next door or above you. My husband and I routinely use ear plugs while traveling, but they couldn’t drown out the sounds from the other guests. So in conclusion, I write this review with a heavy heart because the place had so much to offer, but the detractors were just too much for us. But maybe try it anyway and see for yourselves.
Room tip: If you choose to stay here, I think staying on the top floor would reduce some of the noise.
