This small hotel was originally a nunnery (note the hotel name) and since the nuns presumably were largely enclosed, there is very ample room for living and relaxation, as to which hotel visitors now have the benefit. It has either been recently renovated or it is a new project following the exiting of the nuns. Either way it is a very high class renovation, largely in black and white colours, which gives the interior a very English classic feeling.
Everything, staff, food and accommodation was perfect. Everyone was most attentive. The hotel is very close to the main tourist attractions, particularly St Vitale. Although it is on a corner block, it seems very quiet and Ravenna in any event seems quieter than most Italian cities. Our room and I believe others were exceptionally large which was unexpected and also a very large bathroom.
Although it's probably not particularly significant to a tourist who is going out to look at historic sites, the hotel has a quite wonderful garden in which to relax. All in all this was an enjoyable and relaxing and elegant experience and I would certainly return to the hotel if I return to the city.More
