La carrozza is a typical osteria of Piacenza, very well known between the locals. We came here to enjoy the traditional cuisine of the region of the world considered amongst the best. Complementary bread (a little old) and little appetizers were immediately brought to the table. We opted for a tagliatelle truffle to share and 2 mains after that. The tagliatelle were lovely, and big enough to be enjoyed as starter from both of us. Mains were the amazing piccola di cavallo , one of my favorite food, consisted in a minced horse meat slowly cooked with spices, and a beef tagliata, served with rocket salad. It was all good and portions were big enough. Desserts weren't great, but well presented.
Overall I enjoyed a good dinner, I'm not used to such a bill, coming from Thailand, but it was actually a fair price. The minus point comes at the table. We got sat behind the loudest table in the whole city. I understand we didn't book, but I was hoping to enjoy a great conversation with a friend in a quieter environment.
Service prompt and very kind.
