We were the last to be served on a Sunday afternoon, showing up at the door 10 minutes before closing time, and were fully welcomed with full ease and plenty of time.
We had relatively simple, very, very good local food including pappardelle (large, thick fresh dough fettuccine pasta), various cold cuts and some 5-years-aged Parmesan cheese - the first I ever tried, good if difficult for me to tell from a very good 2- or 3-years old one - raw hashed horse meat and a couple of very good desserts: a crostata tart with shortcrust dough and sour plum jam and a hard, crumbly sbrisolona cake.
A great experience for a reasonable price and a very pleasant family-style welcome.
Extremely convenient for visiting the utterly amazing CSAC displays in the nearby former Valserena Abbey - an absolute must see.
