While in Bologna, Strolling the streets we saw this church.
The art depicted over the front door entrance interested me, unfortunately it was not open and I could not get a glimpse of what treasures it held inside.

A church with beautiful ornaments. It is not always open as Catholic churches usually are. This is well worth a visit. Moody and great.

We found this church by chance after a visit to Palazzo Poggi museum. It is in Bologna's Jewish Quarter and its location is not very central. It has spacious interior with several chapels where beautiful paintings by Renaissance artists can be seen. The altarpiece is splendid too.

Located off the beaten path of the main streets of Bologna, this 800yr old Church was a gem! Small but full of beautiful architecture. You are allowed to take pictures, but please be very quiet.

When your done vising this gem, walk across the street for some outstanding Gelato - Majori Gelati

Enjoy!

We attended a wedding ceremony in this beautiful old church and took some time to walk around and appreciate the art works. It is located not far off the main thoroughfare of Via dell'Independenza on Via Marsala and Via Guglielmo Oberdan. There is a Medieval courtyard through a passage-way just off the left of the Altar which is worth viewing as well.
