I recomande this hotel for the good position, in just a few minutes you reach the city center. Is clean. The staff is friendly. Breakfast good enought but repetitive. Room is a little bit noisy (from outside till 2 at night if you keep the window open). A wide variety of eating in the area. Also very close is a Conad supermarket.
What i did not like was the towels.

My second stay at this lovely characterful little hotel, close the centre of Bologna. Near the lively university area and within a few minutes walk of the Piazza Maggiore. Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable clean room with smart and efficient bathroom shower etc. Excellent breakfast offering a wide choice of buffet style food. Very good value for money. Will stay again when I return to this lovely city.

stayed three nights may 30, may 31, june 1
rather short walk from the train station
no elevator was first thing we noticed - a little inconvenient for all our bags
room was clean, a/c was good, shower was fair, and towels were fair to poor
breakfast was included and was better than average - nice girls serving cappuccino
location made this place worth staying at - walked to everything we wanted to do

i would recommend this place for its location

Room tip: stay on the first floor - only one flight of stairs to climb with luggage

I was given a very small room with the window in a very small court. There were many air conditioner engines in the court so that the room was noisy even with the window closed. I asked for earplugs but they had none.

Dear Mrs Stefania,
we are sorry that you doesn't very well by us. Our Single Classic room are more economy but also more small.
Unfortunately we were fully booked and it was not possibile to change your room.
When we can have available, we suggest a Superior Room (also Single), more elegant and bigger and mor quiet.
We trust to have you our agreeble guest to give you our best

Pros:
- Location: very close to the old centre, 3 to 5 min. walk to Due Torri
- Value for money
- Cleanliness: both room and bathroom, before and during stay
- Size of bathroom; largest shower booth I’ve seen in a 3* hotel
- Beds providing very good quality sleep (if able to sleep – see below)
- Air-conditioned room
- Minibar
- Large flat-screen TV
- Just about enough storage room for 2 persons
- Polite, friendly, helpful staff
- Polite, friendly, helpful owner
- Good breakfast for a 3* hotel

Cons:
- Location: in the University neighbourhood – students congregate every night (but especially on Thu, Fri, and Sat night) in front of the hotel, just under your windows, and they can be very noisy! The owner should press the local authorities to restrict the operating hours of the pizzeria on the corner of the building that stays open all night long, as that is the main attraction for students to come eat and drink in front of the hotel. We could not sleep with windows open during our stay; we had to close them and use AC instead, which can be bothersome for people not used to sleeping with AC on. Alternatively, you can choose a superior room that is not facing the street, and pay more for your sleep comfort.
- Very thin towels: the thinnest I have seen in all hotels I have stayed in! That may not be a problem with face and hand towels, but is unacceptable with bath towels.
- Poor water pressure in shower
- Poor toiletries
- Lack of elevator, although I got a room on the 1st floor (no. 118) following my prior request, staff was prompt and helpful. (If opting for a regular room facing the street it may be a good idea to ask for a room on a higher floor to avoid the noise, if you don’t mind the flights of stairs. I had to avoid that as I was travelling with my elderly father.)
- Size of room on a smaller size, but that is not unusual in Italy in an old building
- Lack of sport channels on the TV menu
- Wifi a little bit slow

Room tip: Ask for a standard room on a higher floor to avoid the noise, or pay for a superior room not facing the street.

Dear Mrs,
thank you for your words.
We have talk with the Mayor and with the Police Office, but sometimes is not very easy to talk with the young students.
Our Hotel don't have a elevator because is a property of Belle Arti and we are on the underground river.
If the guests doesn't love our cotton towels, we can have a terrycloth of shower. And the receptionists are very glad to help our guests with a TV channels, maybe your TV was just to re-syncronise.
Lastly, we hope you revist us and we made our best all the time!!
