An amazing building and another must see when you are visiting Rome. Right next to the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. The queues do get big so book tickets in advance or get there early.

Definitely pay the extra $10 for a trip to the top of the basilica for a fantastic view of the square.
The lift only travels half way to the top so be prepared to walk up plenty of steps.

As great as it looks on tv but so much bigger and inspirational to stand in the middle and look round was absolutely fantastic

This vast and majestuous piazza is beautiful enough to make you forget you are waiting in line to enter the cathedral. Even if it is a long wait (around an hour i'd say), I was not able to get impatient because there was always something to look at.

Knowing that the piazza holds a highly significant place in the history of my faith, I found being at Saint Peter’s Square very humbling. The sculptures are beautiful. The architecture surrounding it is overwhelmingly awesome.I plan to go back for a chance to see the Pope at the Square.
