If you go to visit the Vatican Museums, you should definitely buy glasses, with pictures of some of the works! these are 5 different pictures, wonderful! But you have to ask in such outlets, because there are many objects and is difficult to find it! You NEED buy these glasses! are unique in the world!

Just breathtaking a must see!! Absolutely amazing. Unfathomable to see such craftsmanship. Walk slow.

Some bits of this museum are interesting (Egyptian part at the beginning) but some bits like the pottery are properly boring.

Would recommend you take the shortcut to the Sistine Chapel as it skips the weird modern art bit of the tour.

Very reasonably priced and some amazing artefacts in the museum. Sistine chapel a bit of a disappointment but the map room.... Wow

Be aware you may have to book this over 60 days in advance! Since I am not that organised, we ended up queuing for over 2 hours. It eas worth it though. A walk through over 200 years of history was fascinating. To fully appreciate this without a tour would easily take more than a full day! Since we didn't attend with a guide i can't comment on that experience. Personally I regret this and now I have a great reason to visit again!
The venue does get extremely busy, shoulder to shoulder at some points. I was blown away by the items, and piecds on display. I particularly enjoyed the contemporary art gallery.

Thank Anthony M
