Drove past looking for another eatery and decided to give it a try; turned out to be the best meal we had had in Italy (meals actually as we went back the following night too). A great themed restaurant where the chef knows how to cook a steak and the beautiful, friendly waiting staff were more than happy to take the time to make sure we had an enjoyable meal. Reception lady did not speak English, but called a colleague who did and she was very careful to explain the menu and look out for us - the waiting staff were never too busy to help
The meat is on display and cooked in the restaurant so you can see what you are getting before it turns up on the plate. Definitely not grain / stall fed cattle and can honestly say we have not tasted beef as succulent as we had at Fort Apache since leaving Africa thirty years ago.
The steak portions are good with the fat content reducing with cost, so cost to waste probably works out even. It must be said though that the fifteen euro steak was definitely tastier than the twenty-two euro steak so perhaps the fat trade-off is worth the waste on the plate?
When walking around the sights of Rome and all you can think about is the gorgeous steak you had the night before, you know the place is a winner.
