“Good value”
Reviewed 21 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

The best part of this rental was the location. We were just on the edge of the Trastevere neighborhood. We love to walk when we are staying in a city, so we walked many miles each day and saw all of the major sites.

The apartment was roomy for the four of us. We were comfortable there. The booking and key pick up was easy. Host was helpful with arranging airport taxis.

I felt like it could have been cleaner and that some furnishings need to be a bit sturdier and upgraded.

All-in-all, a good value for our group of four adults.

“Great location”
Reviewed 15 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Great location, quite safe n
old neighborhood within walking distance to many attraction and a short walk to Viale Trastevere where there is excellent public transportation. The host is happy to provide tips and information. The apartment is spacious and well equipped with a lovely newly remodeled bathroom and two large bedrooms. the only down was poor sound proofing in the building construction. the noise from the apartment upstairs can be very loud in the mornings. If you are an early riser that will not be a problem. I would defiantly stay there again.

“Charming neighbourhood, lots of atmosphere.”
Reviewed 17 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

I accompanied my son, daughter-in-law and 2 kids aged 11 and 5 on a recent trip to Italy. We stayed at Elsa's Trastevere House for 3 nights. It is situated in a charming upmarket neighbourhood of Rome, far away from the maddening crowds of tourists, (we landed in Rome on the Labour Day weekend !) and yet within the flavour and atmosphere of Rome with its boulangeries, pasticeries, cafes and tratorrias.
We arrived by an early morning flight and so had to wait for the previous guests to check out. But Giovanni graciously permitted us to deposit our luggage before getting the apartment professionally cleaned up.

All the necessary conveniences have been thoughtfully provided. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, well equipped kitchen, to name a few.

Giovanni was very helpful with tips on the best pizzeria in the area, map, directions
and advice on parking.

Our Rome stay was made very enjoyable in no small measure due to the Trastevere apartment.

“Great place to stay, great team looking after you!”
Reviewed 3 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We really had a great stay at Elsa's House. Communication with Simone was excellent and Giovanni was delightful, met us at the apartment and arranged a taxi for our airport return. The house is in a great location, five minutes to the centre ofcTrastevere, so just far enough to be quieter for sleeping...there's a great bar on the corner a minute away to stop off at ! The house was really comfortable for the three of us, well equipped, comfy beds and lovely and clean. It's doable to walk the whole of Rome centre from here ...once you've oriented yourself...! You can be at the heart of town in not much more than 15 minutes. Loads of places to eat and drink in less than 10. So, a great place to stay and a great team looking after you

“Best place to stay in Rome!!”
Reviewed 20 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Went to Rome with my daughter for her 18th birthday, Giovanni had organised pickup at airport and also return for us which was cheaper than using the normal taxi service that Rome offered. nothing was too much trouble for him as we arrived early and the apartment was not quite ready he was happy for us to drop our bags and get ourselves sorted before we went out.The apartment is on the Tram line so is easy to get into Rome, what a difference the people are in Trastevere, so friendly whereas in the City very rude and just after your money!!
Would recommend the Big Star pub and the Italian Restaurant just further down from the Big Star really reasonable and friendly. I would say that it got beyond a joke getting asked if we wanted to buy selfie sticks, brollies and squeezy balls and water.Make sure that you got to the market on Sundays it is amazing and got some fantastic bargains. Enjoyable trip and would definitely recommend this apartment
