Whenever I am in Rome I always stop by Astoria either for lunch, aperitif or dinner.

The courtesy of the staff, variety of food together with the beauty of the upper terrace makes this place the best option for having a relaxing time yet still in the very heart of the city.

When I booked to go to Rome with my boyfriend, I desperately wanted to experience dinner on a reasonably-priced rooftop restaurant! I was so happy when we walked past this cafe with a roof terrace. We ate here for dinner one night and we seemed to be the only tourists (the only English at least) so the waiters struggled a bit to understand our requests, however one waiter in particular was incredibly lovely and tried his best to explain the dishes on the menu and he was very welcoming and friendly.
The portions were quite small, but they tasted delicious. Cocktails were nice too with lots of options, and not extortionately priced like some cocktail bars in Rome are!

We ordered one starter, two mains, two desserts, three cocktails and one beer for 70euro.

Overall, the atmosphere was lovely, the food was tasty and the waiters were very attentive and pleasant.

We accidentally stumbled across this place when the restaurant in which we thought to have lunch turned out to be closed. It has a lovely rooftop terrace and it was very quiet and peaceful. We ordered many different dishes - not the classic ones, but but with a twist - to share, "tapa" style, and they were all great!
Service was also very pleasant, as was the bill.
To recommend!

We went for dinner and had a really nice evening! Great food and wine on a rooftop! Think we were the only tourists here, everyone else seemed to be locals which was nice. Don't know why this place isn't higher rated as I think it was the best place we went for dinner during our stay!

The staff were very welcoming and spoke great English, very polite and friendly. We sat on the terrace and as the night got a bit colder they moved heaters closer to ensure we were warm enough without us needing to ask. We both had the cheeseburger and both agreed it was one of the most tasty and fresh burgers we had ever had! The atmosphere was also really great, being relaxing and cosy. 5 stars all around, would definitely recommend!
