The disgrace of Rome and Italian food.
Situated next to the famous Trevi Fountain, this restaurant seemed like a great, convenient choice... unfortunately, choosing this restaurant turned into a terrible holiday experience in Rome. Was our last meal before we headed to the airport that's why we were not bothered to stand up & leave.Wish I would have check trip advisor before we sat down.
Badly cooked food and doesn't represent the Italian cousin. My poor partner had a spaghetti with meatballs and caught gastroenteritis. Very high fever with severe pains .Filthy toilets & staff.
My opinion, this place (I can not call it restaurant) should be shutted down and the owner go to the jail.

we were lured into this restaurant, which looked nice and had a good atmosphere, however, we took the special of the day, which was Bistecca Fiorentina, which is delicious, but ended up paying 120 euros for the meat only, which meant we paid each 60 euro for a steak!!!! That was a total rip off, on top we still had the antipasti to pay for, the vegetables and the wine... far the most expensive lunch we had in Rome..

The service charge is already added to your bill, so maybe thats the reason the staff are lazy, ignorant and quite ambivalent to the customers dining experience. Over priced food, which isnt even adaquate, over priced drinks. The customer service is non existent, I think restaurants like this give Rome a bad reputation for ripping tourists off

I have to start with the fact I'm so shocked this restaurant has nearly 900 'terrible' rating reviews. This restaurant deserves NO stars, only Trip advisor has made me click 1 star to begin the review.

We did what everyone else reviewing has done tonight- a long day of sightseeing and drawn into this place with people sat outside and the waiter calling us in. We ate at Pastamore last night and that was very reasonable so assumed this place would be on a par- if not better, than where we ate last night. How WRONG we were!!!

We instantly were greeted by the waiter recommending we go for a 'seafood platter'. This is priced on weight (100g- €6) so clearly stated we only want to spend a maximum of €30 each. He told us 'not to worry- you're on holiday'.
We had an antipasti starter between the two of us, this was good so we were looking forward to the next meal. Out comes the platter. Yes, this looked fine, 1 piece of swordfish, tuna, salmon.. 4 prawns, 2 langoustines, mussels and 1 squid with a small side of spaghetti. Nothing special about it whatsoever, pretty bland- just season the stuff please!!!!

Now we get the cheque...... €143!! Completely overpriced and you walk away feeling ripped off. We clearly said we wanted to spend €60 and we ended up with a platter more than €70. With a 'by weight' price I guess anything goes! We only realized after the cheque was hastily removed from us that when we did a bit of math and removed the food cost from the total bill that we were charged 2x 10% service charges. When we went back and queried this the manager said one of the charges was a city tax?!! This was the first restaurant that we were charged city tax on our food! Everything about this experience has been a disaster!

We leave our final night in Rome a bit grumpy and annoyed that we hadn't read Trip advisor before sitting down. Hopefully you'll carry on walking now as this review gets added to the long list of 'terrible' rated reviews!!!

I have to say, the food was pretty good, as was the service, but, 48 euros for a Sea Bass is way overpriced. Over 100 euros for one person. Not good value at all. It's a shame that no-one reads trip advisor before going to this money trap, as all the trade comes from tourists visiting the Trevi fountain. If your fortunate enough to read this before choosing to eat here, don't order anything at market price. Order priced options from the menu.
