We spent a week in Rome earlier this year. This apartment was exactly what we wanted and excellent value for money. The location is fantastic - it's next to the forum boarium, no more than 5 minutes' walk from campidoglio, perhaps 10 minutes from the entrance to the forum and a couple more to the colosseum.
The apartment itself is really nicely presented, and the little garden area is wonderful for having dinner or just enjoying a glass of wine on a warm evening. The apartment is small, but perfectly sufficient for a couple and has everything you need: a small kitchen with hobs, kettle and microwave (note, no oven); living area with dining table; decent sized bedroom with a large and comfortable double bed and a clean bathroom with a good, powerful shower.
The area doesn't look amazing when you approach it - but you go through a door from the street into a beautiful little courtyard with a few separate buildings. The apartment is in the furthest building. This set up means it's also very secure, as you need a key to get into the courtyard then another for the apartment (the apartment building is unlocked).
Maurizio was helpful and responsive in the run up to our trip, and very friendly and happy to give us tips on restaurants, transportation etc when we arrived.
I would definitely recommend this apartment, and we will certainly be returning the next time we're in rome.
Maurizio was friendly and helpful and the tiny house and garden were comfortable with all amenities and in a quiet courtyard position close to the Spanish Steps and walking distance to everything. The small garden was welcomed for a glass of wine and a home made supper after a long day sightseeing but close to many restaurants. Only downside was that it is probably too small for 4 and the kitchen although equipped with essentials is in a small alcove and lacks oven and space to use for anything too adventurous
