It was raining and they were waving us in, took our umbrellas and seated us. Did not take long until we were served. But sadly that's where the good time ended.
The ambient was cold and uninviting. The waitress was unfriendly and seemed uninterested in us. We asked if there were peanuts used for the food ( because of a pretty severe allergy) and she seemed pretty much as if she did not care at all. Afterwards we were still not sure if we could eat it or not.
We ordered something we are pretty sure shouldn't involve any peanuts.
Now, this is Italy, we haven't been here for the first time and we have eaten pizza and pasta from Italy before, but this was very disappointing. The pasta tasted like it was convenience food and the pizza tasted like there was something missing, like flavor. It was not only the worst from Italy, I never get such bad pizza or pasta from any restaurants in any country ( I've been to some...).
All in all disappointing but not that unexpected since it's right next to Vatican City bordered by many other restaurants only there for tourists. But just as a tip: it you are here just go a few streets further. Same price but better and much nicer.
