Beautiful baroque basilica near the Pantheon.

You’ll be impressed by the beautiful paintings and stuccoed walls and ceilings.

Especially artful are some 3D like paintings that even reflect perfectly the lights through the upper windows.

Another gem among the churches of Rome!

Located on Piazza Della Maddalena this church is beautiful. It only takes 10 minutes to view if your in a hurry but the alter and the back wall are stunning.

Chiesa di Santa Maria Maddalena is a stunningly beautiful church. We were attracted by the exterior of the building as we were making our way from the Pantheon to another site. On entering we were awestruck by the lovely interior of this church. It's probably outside the "tourist trail", which is just as well, because you have more space to yourself to stand or sit, and absorb, and admire! Then again, more people should be visiting it! It's really worth it, and it has a very long history, going back to the 17th century.

Walking up from the Pantheon we saw the beautiful facade of this apparently small church and were drawn through the open door. The interior was spectacular and gave a feeling of serenity and tranquility. Time to reflect, time to appreciate the art. Worth stopping in.

For years we just passed by on our way to gelato....now we stop in to admire and give thanks every time we are there. As another has said, it has a dazzling interior!
